Aaryon "Bird" Williams
Aaryon Bird Williams was born in Gary, Indiana on August 24, 1986. Aaryon’s father, an artist, taught him to create art at the age of 5—His mother kept him performing in front of large audiences since the age of 2. Aaryon Bird Williams was groomed to be a renaissance man from the time he could walk and talk. In 2004 Aaryon left Gary on his 18th birthday by Greyhound to move Omaha, Nebraska. It was in Omaha, where he would pursue his dreams and longterm goals. In 2006, He graduated from Omaha North High School as an All State-All Star in basketball, Prom King, Scholastic's Gold Medal winner for Ceramics, voted Best Male Vocalist, and with a full ride basketball scholarship to Indian Hills Community College(Ranked number 1 in the country in 2006). After rocky college basketball career, Aaryon decided take a spiritual hiatus from basketball in 2009. Aaryon wouldn't return to the basketball court until after the birth of his daughter, Poet--Stating he wanted to be someone she would look up too. He attended Highlands University under a partial basketball scholarship in the fall of 2011 as a college senior. In in the fall of 2012, Aaryon Bird Williams left New Mexico Highland University and moved to Hafnarfordur, Iceland--He was drafted to the Iceland Pro basketball League as a starting power forward for the basketball team the "Hafnarfordur Haukars(Hawks)". Aaryon enjoyed his rookie season in Europe and continued on to Mexico pro basketball leagues in 2013, 2014, and 2016(2015 was played in Peru.). After retirement, Aaryon decided to pursue a professional career in art. In 2014, he was selected by world renown artist, Cey Adams to paint the “Love” mural alongside him in Omaha. From there, he was commissioned to create the Terence Crawford mural in 2015, which was featured on HBO. In 2016, Aaryon created a youth program that featured a yearly talent show in Omaha(Things were shutdown in 2020 due to COVID-19). Today Aaryon is working in the southwest with organizations and creatives to realize the potentials of the arts, culture and how the modern technologies today can assist in achieving longterm goals. Aaryon’s future plans are helping people around the world achieve their dreams.
